Praise Report
Hello Dear Friends – I want to let you know that my son Isaac was born yesterday 03-12-2010.
His stats:
weight – 7 lbs 13 3/4 oz
height – 20 in
He was bigger than our son Caleb at birth. I would like to thank you all for your prayers. His healthy birth is a testimony to the faithfullness of our God that when His people pray He answers.
At our Dr. appointment in the beginning of November we were told that there was an issue with low amniotic fluid. We were sent to a specialist in Spokane. Where the amniotic fluid levels were non-existent. The specialist sent us home thinking our baby was going to die. He said that if the baby survived till his 24th week they would deliver. They had no idea what was causing the fluid to be low. It was a tearful drive home.
At that point when we got home we contacted our friends via phone and Facebook (social networking at it’s finest) asking all to pray. Brittany went on bedrest and started to drink a tremendous amount of water. The specialist said that none of these efforts would work. So the next 8 weeks Brittany had 2 ultra sounds to monitor the fluid levels. The highest they got were up to 4 cm (normal level range from 9 cm to 20 cm). Isaac was a trooper though. His heart rate and development was normal. The only exception was that he was measuring 2 weeks small.
Our last regular Dr. appointment the levels were up to 10 cm. On Dec. 3rd, Isaac’s 24th week, we went up to see the specialist still thinking that he would be delivered. When they did the ultrasound the levels went down to 8 cm. The specialist said that we should come back on Dec. 23rd or if there was an emergency. Well the fluid levels did not break into the normal range until the Friday before our appointment in Spokane. The fluid levels were up to 15 cm. We went to our specialist and at that time the levels had increased to 19 cm.
That trip back home was a tearful drive as well. Tears not full with sorrow but with praise. Brittany went off of bedrest and now you heard the conclusion.
Praise you Lord for your grace to shine on us!
- Billy
